“The Stories of Shahnameh, The Persian Book of Kings” is an audio book collection in English and Persian languages created by Afshin Sepehri and Nusha Sepehri with the goal of introducing the beautiful stories of Shahnameh, the masterpiece by Iranian poet Ferdowsi to both Iranian and non-Iranian audience. The first three parts of this collection are now available in Persian and English languages in form of audio CDs and downloadable albums.
Part 1 of this collection narrates the stories of the first six kings of Shahnameh including Kayumars, Hushang, Tahmures, Jamshid, Zahhak and Feraydun. It also talks about early civilizations and shows how people made discoveries and inventions and made advances. In this part, you also hear the stories of the three Iranian festivals, Nowruz, Mehregan and Sadeh.
Part 2 narrates the stories of Sam, Zal and Rostam, three heroes from three generations of a family who all lived in the era of king Manuchehr. In this part, you hear about the complex relationship of a father and a son, a beautiful love story and also the amazing birth of the greatest hero of Shahnameh.
Part 3 narrates the stories of the reigns of Nozar, Zav Tahmasp, Garshasp and Kay Qobad. In this part you hear about the war between Iran and Turan, and how during the chaos, the great heroes of Iran, Zal, Rostam and others came to the rescue.
